Science--Magnet Fun!

Our first science unit is on Magnets.  The first thing we did was create an anchor chart describing the attributes of a scientist!  To introduce magnets, we displayed an ebook on our promethean board and read portions of the book.  Students were then given a graphic organizer and were able to choose from a variety of maget styles.  Of course their favorite was the cow magnet!  They did a walk-about, testing their magnet on a variety of objects in the room, and listing which objects were magnetic and which were not.  We then made generalizations about magnets!  The students had a great deal of fun!  Next up---writing our very own magnet experiments!
